Complete emptiness

'Actually, you have absolutely nothing if we break up.' My first love and I lie side by side in bed. He delivers this observation as if it were the most normal thing in the world. He also decides it's not enough yet and goes on: 'No television. No couch. No table.'

For me, in his experience, there is nothing left when we part. Only emptiness.

Some memories you carry with you for life. Sometimes they are warm, other times cold and chilly. In my experience, all memories have one purpose: To bring you home to yourself. What is emptiness when you may experience completeness within yourself?
